The Fighter movie in 2010

The Fighter is an upcoming movie directed by David O. Russell and starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Amy Adams. The film centers around the life of the famous boxer Irish Micky Ward. The film will be released sometime in 2010.

Plot:
"The story revolves around the life of boxer 'Irish' Mickey Ward (Wahlberg) and trainer-brother Dick Eklund (Bale), chronicling their early days on the rough streets of Lowell, Massachusetts, through Eklund's battle with drugs and Ward's eventual world championship in London."

Cast:
- Mark Wahlberg as professional boxer "Irish" Micky Ward
- Christian Bale as his older half brother Dickie Eklund
- Amy Adams as a gritty bartender, Ward's love interest

Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg have been training very hard to get in shape for the film. But the film goes beyond boxing and will be a real lens on Ward's life and his family.
